About Amer-Fil Foodmart
Located at 1075 Easton Ave #1, Somerset, NJ 08873, Amer-Fil Foodmart operates as a filipino restaurant serving Somerset in New Jersey. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under convenience store, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Somerset, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New Jersey run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10 amβ6 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (732) 220-6536. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 27 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded filipino restaurants in Somerset.
Somerset is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Somerset follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My go to place to order a tray of Turon. The Tito is always kind and my order is always ready on time. The pork skewers are also a fave. The lumpia and pancit are wonderful.

Got 3 combos for takeout and chose the fish, veg stews, beef, BBQ pork and all was delicious. The sweet banana roll dessert was excellent.

Sure, you're probably reading through the opinions for this eatery seeing arguably what appears to be mixed reviews. Maybe you're at a crossroads, wondering if this place is worth your time. However, there is more than meets the eye. Frankly speaking, you will find yourself comforted with a meal that is made with love and passion that spans across a whole ocean. If you're new to Filipino food, you might be wondering what makes it unique as its own cuisine. Well, the art and wonder of Filipino cuisine is in the immense regional diversity for each of its signature dishes. From something as "simple" as adobo to the complexities of diniguan, you will find that the recipes for these dishes are nuanced by region and each island of the Philippines. The diversity in the recipes reflects the multi-cultural aspects within Filipino culture. This makes each experience special when it comes to Filipino cuisine, because you are tasting that particular recipe deriving from that particular region/island. With that being said, Amer-Fil delivers its own unique recipe on these signature dishes. The initial take at the store front might not be anything spectacular or worth noting - perhaps just anot

Hear ye, fellow consumers. Neither war nor famine could relinquish my avid following of such an establishment. For as the tales have foretold, such authentic cuisine could not have arrived at a more fortuitous time! After learning of this place from our local bard, my party and I arrived just in time for the midday rampage. Conversing with the owner, we settled among some of the most delectable selections the restaurant had to offer - Lumpiang Shanghai and Chicken Wings. The taste could only be described as extraordinary - juicy after juicy munch on the crisp, clean taste of the wings. And the roll-esque contraptions that lay before us could sway even the most honorable knight to darkness. Truly a joy for my soul and my coin purse, such a place should not go unnoticed! Na but seriously this place's pretty good. Best can of fanta I've ever had.
